Humane Education

The Women's Humane Society is proud to offer Humane Education classes for all ages, groups and businesses. From pre-K classes to high schoolers to adult groups wanting to learn more about animal welfare, WHS is happy to provide and educate the community in the Greater Philadelphia and Bucks County areas.

We believe that education is a powerful and positive tool in helping animals in our community. Please see details below regarding on-site and off-site presentations.

Off-Site Presentations:

  • Presentations last around 30 minutes to an hour.
  • We require a minimum of 20 participants.

On-Site Shelter Tours/Classes at The Women’s Humane Society:

  • Shelter education tours, activities and classes last around 45-90 minutes long.
  • We require all participants to sign a waiver or have a waiver signed by their guardian.
  • We require a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 20 participants.

The Women’s Humane Society requests a minimum suggested fee of $200 from your organization or group collection drive. All fees for services provided by WHS directly support the care, comfort and rehoming of our shelter animals.

We encourage schools, classrooms, businesses and organizations to find creative and engaging ways to raise their fee money.  Organizations and children can be creative with how they raise money for these visits as a way to further engage students in animal welfare and to show children that they can make a difference in an animal’s life at any age. Some students have raised money through a lemonade stand, bake sale or penny drive.  WHS is willing to provide you with ideas and inspiration!

In-kind donations from our wish list are also very much appreciated!
