Board of Directors

Since its founding in 1869, the governance of Women's Animal Center has been vested to a Board of Directors. The original Bylaws of the organization mandate that only women are eligible to be elected to the Board. WAC today continues this tradition, in due honor of the important role women have played in the founding and evolution of America's First Animal Shelter, and in animal welfare at large in our great nation.
